Admissions Guidelines

Guidelines for Applying to HVCS

1. Prospective parents are required ideally to attend both a Coffee and Chat event, an individual tour, and the Story Time Open House. We also encourage families to take advantage of another on campus opportunity the HVCS World's Fair.
2. Beginning in the fall of the year prior to the year of interest, please call the office to schedule an individual tour. Applications may be completed online.
3. Prospective Students will be scheduled for a visit/assessment day. An assessment fee of $100 is due at the time of the assessment. Grades K5-5th will visit for an entire school day with the assessment done during that time. Prospective K3 and K4 students will attend a morning visit and assessment until 1:00 p.m. There is no assessment fee for K3.
4. Prospective preschool students will be notified within 1-2 weeks of their visit/assessment day as to their acceptance and a contract issued if applicable. Kindergarten through 5th grade will be notified on March 1 of acceptance. To secure a spot for the applicant, the contract must be returned within one week along with the application fee of $400 which serves as a deposit to hold the student's spot. This is applied towards the tuition.
5. Age Requirements:
   1. Prospective K3 students must be 3 by August 15th of the school year and must be fully potty trained (no pull ups).
   2. Prospective K4 students must be 4 by August 15th of the school year and must be fully potty trained (no pull ups).
   3. Prospective K5 students must be 5 by August 15th of the school year.
6. Applications requested by February 23rd.
