This month, we will be taking a deeper look into what makes a famous American.  Do they have to be smart? married? rich? What can we do to be more like them? The adventures never end in K-4...

BookwormAn extra note about reading:

Read with your child at least 20 minutes EVERY DAY!  This will increase their phonemic awareness (sense of letter and sound correspondence) and language development. 

Reading with your child is also a great way to bond and discover more of your child's interests!

 

*This year, we will be embracing thematic units.  Each month has an overall theme and Bible theme.  Additionally, each week has a smaller theme.  We find that themes provide an age-appropriate vehicle through which we can effectively teach academic concepts with greater cognitive retention.
