General Policies-Grades 1-4

1.  All students need a Spanish notebook.

3.  Homework

-1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade-homework will be given to the children with their Monday mail.  It will not be due until Friday of that same week.  If for some reason the student needs additional time to work on his/her homework, please call me or email me to let me know.  Homework at this level is just a review of what was covered in class and should not take more than 10 minutes to complete.

4.  Discipline and Classroom Behavior:
***Students are given a list of expressions in Spanish that they can use in class in order to communicate with the teacher.  The use of English will not be allowed.  Talking out of turn or talking to a classmate is not acceptable unless it is part of the class activities. 

***Students will be given warnings for innappropriate behavior and the "traffic light" forms will be filled out in case of any major disruptions.  The older children will have progress reports that will be sent home every month.  I will email you or call you if it is necessary.

Silent lunch or missing time from Recess will be the consequences for talking out of turn in class after warnings have been given and appropriate behavior has been modeled and explained.
