4th Grade Assignments

Free Dress Days May 21st-24th!!

Math - Mrs. Bechtol:  We will be continuing our chapter on fractions. Chapter 7 test: Thursday, May 17th.

Reading - Mrs.  Stynchcombe:  Remember to encourage your child to read his/her AR book for a minimum of 20 minutes each night.  Students should be taking AR tests every 7-10 days.  Students need to meet the four requirements:  (2) fictions, (1) biography, and (1) nonfiction that is not a biography. Student goals for the fourth quarter are 15-20 AR points.  Students should be reading 30 minutes a night. 

Vocabulary - Mrs. Stynchcombe:  Students are encouraged to write their unit vocabulary words, definitions, synonyms, and antonyms on index cards to receive bonus points!  Index cards are due at least one day prior to testing date.  

Language Arts - Mrs. Stynchcombe: 

Spelling - Mrs. Stynchcombe: Students will be engaging in classroom spelling bee competitions for the remainder of the year.

Social Studies - Mrs. Stynchcombe:  

Science - Mrs. Bechtol: Chapter 8: Electricity and Magnetism.  Chapter 8 Test Wednesday, May 16th.

Bible - Mrs. Stynchcombe:  Students are studying the book of John Chapters 1-10 for the remainder of the year.  

Spanish - Mrs. Carlone:  See Mrs. Carlone's web site page for assignments.  Spanish test on expressions the first two weeks of May.  

Art - Mrs. Cupp:  See Mrs. Cupp's web site page for assignments/homework.
