Fifth Grade Field Trips
Fifth Grade Field Trips Jekyll Island: This trip is usually taken the week prior to the school's fall break. It is a 31/2 day trip that allows students to experience hands-on marine biology classes and activities. Mrs. Lee Moore heads up this trip. Tellus Northwest GA Science Museum: This wonderful museum located off Exit 293 on I-75 South allows students an opportunity to see some of the world's most beautiful and precious gems. Students have an opportunity to attend geology classes, pan for gems, and visit the museum. This trip is usually taken in March or April. Challenger Center at UTC: Students have an opportunity to experience life in a space lab and in mission control. The assignment is to identify the gases in Halley's Comet. It is a two hour mission and time is of the essence when completing this mission. This trip is usually taken in April or May. |
