Dear K-3 Parents

I hope everyone had a wonderful springbreak and a Happy Easter.  The children seemed glad to be back and happy to see each other. 

The next nine weeks are going to be very busy.  We have completed the alphabet and are finishing our "Z" books this week.  We will review the letters  by doing an alphabet booklet that touches on each letter one more time with a fun letter craft, but at a much faster pace. 

Our unit for the month of April is; "Its Spring!"  The children will learn that in Spring the earth warms significantly, causing new plant growth to spring forth, giving the season its name.  Spring is a time to fly kites, to enjoy colorful rainbows and to celebrate the birth of baby animals.  We will celebrate Spring with fun flower crafts and all things green.  Also we will do fun springtime activities, like planting flowers.  We will, as usual, learn fun springtime rhymes and songs.
