PreK4/Kindergarten Music

The overriding goal of music education is to instill in each child a lifelong love and appreciation for music. 

Especially at the preschool and Kindergarten level, music can also be used to teach and reinforce many of the foundational concepts and skills that are so important for a child to be exposed to and learn in the early years of their education.

Our music classes will involve the children in activities such as singing, listening, playing rhythm instruments and movement that will address basic preschool and Kindergarten concepts as well as the following elements of music:   

• Rhythm
• Tempo
• Dynamics
• Melody
• Form
• Texture/Harmony
• Tone color
