CC Team Having a Great Year

Our Cross Country team participated in the ISC Championships. We had a several out of town from fall break, but those that were able to run did great! Five of our female runners will go on to run this Saturday at 9am at Woodland Baptist Church for an opportunity to qualify for state.

Championship highlights:

The majority of our runners had personal bests, or a few seconds close to it. We are so proud of all they have accomplished this season in running efforts, achievements, sportsmanship, and character. Our runners represent Hickory Valley is such a positive light.

Congratulations to a few of our top runners at the ISC Championship race.

Drew Peterson (6:48) placed 9th out if 5th grade boys and 15th out of 130 in 3rd-5th grade boys.

Carmyn Watkins (7:29) placed 1st place for 3rd grade girls and 12th overall female (grades 3-5). McKinley Rogers (7:48) placed 6th place for 3rd grade and 23rd overall female grades 3-5 at the Championships. There were a total of 128 female runners this race.

Congratulations to our HVCS girls for placing 6th out of 12 teams for total grade levels combined! Congratulations to our 3rd grade girls for placing 1st place in 3 of 4 meets all season long!
