Letter from Mrs. Veys 3/16/20

Dear Parents,

What a whirlwind time this is, as we all adjust to life under quarantine! We know this is a challenging time for everyone. The faculty met this morning to discuss our plan, as it is now evident that the school closure will be continuing for at least the next several weeks. We want to provide our students with a full schedule of academic and ‘specials’ curriculum, while at the same time not overwhelm parents with requirements.

Here is our plan moving forward:

· Our teachers have sent home work for this week; next week we will be adding additional online resources.

· Teachers will be in contact regarding their plans each week.

· Our school website will have links posted on each class page.

· Teachers will be letting each class know their availability for conferencing/help over the phone.

· Every Monday, from 9am until noon, parents should drop off completed assignments at school; new work and graded work will be available for pick up each week. To limit interaction, all work will be available in the gym.

· Teachers will be providing an alternative to AR testing, so that students can still reach their AR goals.

· Report cards will go out as scheduled and will be available at the Monday pickup on March 30.

Our teachers are here for you and are working hard to ensure that students continue their academic progress throughout these difficult circumstances.
