Admissions Process
Thank you for exploring our Admissions Process! We invite families to visit our campus and experience the benefits of our small classes and individualized learning model. While we welcome inquiries year-round, we encourage you to consider applying in fall for the upcoming school year. Our rolling admissions continue until classes are full, at which point a waitlist will be established.

Campus Tours: Beginning Sept. 2, 2025
We welcome prospective families to our school! Here, you can witness our mission in action every day and explore the numerous opportunities available to our students both inside and outside the classroom. Join us for a chance to meet with our Head of School and Director of Admissions and take a guided tour of our vibrant campus. We look forward to sharing our community with you!
Shadow Day
Prospective students will join us and experience a typical day at HVCS. This experience will not only allow students to explore our vibrant community, but it also provides faculty an opportunity to observe social dynamics and peer interactions. Assessments are conducted during the visit, ensuring a comprehensive experience. Shadow Days will take place from November to January and are scheduled through the office.

Steps for Applying to HVCS
Step 1 Inquire
Please fill out our online Inquiry Form so we can start to get to know you. Make sure to check the box if you would like to be contacted to schedule a campus tour. Tours should be scheduled in the fall for the upcoming year if possible.

Step 2 Tour
Join us for an informative meeting with our Head of School and Director of Admissions. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions and gain insights into our educational philosophy. Afterward, enjoy a guided tour of our campus, where you'll get a firsthand look at our facilities and vibrant learning environment. We look forward to welcoming you and your family!
Step 3 Application ​​​
Please fill out an application prior to your visit day. The application fee is $100 due at the time of the assessment. Click the Application button at the bottom of this page.
Step 4 Assessment Day
From November to January, we invite you to join us for an assessment day. Please ensure that your applications are submitted prior to this special day. For students in 1st grade and above, we will also need school records and a Teacher Character Reference Form before we can extend an acceptance offer. Students in grades K5-5th will enjoy a full school day, while K3 and K4 students will participate in a morning session until 1:00 p.m. We look forward to meeting you!

Following the assessment day, admissions personnel will meet to make a collective decision about a prospective student's likelihood of success at HVCS. Parents can expect to hear from the school within one week. Acceptance offers will be mailed or emailed to the family. To secure a spot for the applicant the contract must be signed and returned within two weeks with the non-refundable deposit of $400. This is applied towards the tuition​.
